I'm Kai-Chieh, a multi-disciplinary UX/UI and digital product designer with over 6 years of experience based in NYC. Currently pursuing my master's in Data Analytics & Visualization with UX Design at Pratt Institute. What drives me? The belief that great design tells compelling stories. I'm passionate about blending storytelling with data to create meaningful connections between people and products. Whether I'm sketching initial concepts or diving deep into usability research, I'm energized by transforming abstract ideas into experiences that connect deeply with users while meeting business objectives.
For me, design isn't just what I do for work—it's how I see the world, a way to make everyday experiences better, more intuitive, and more enjoyable for people. As I continue growing, I'm excited to tackle projects that don't just look good, but genuinely improve how people navigate their digital lives.

Design Principle how I design
1.
Explore different design possibilitiesI prioritize examining a variety of design solutions for every challenge. This approach ensures that I don't settle for the first idea that comes to mind, but rather explore a spectrum of possibilities through sketching, prototyping, and testing to identify the most innovative and effective solution.
2.
User behavior mattersIn my design process, understanding and integrating user behavior is paramount. I conduct thorough user research to gain insights into how users interact with products, focusing on their preferences, behaviors, and challenges to create intuitive and engaging designs.
3.
Deep knowledge of product evaluationI possess a deep knowledge of various product evaluation methods, including usability testing and A/B testing. This expertise allows me to assess the functionality and impact of designs, ensuring that the products are not only visually appealing but also practical and effective in real-world use.
4.
Evidence-based designMy design decisions are grounded in data and empirical evidence. I utilize insights from user research, case studies, and industry benchmarks to inform my design choices, ensuring that each decision is supported by solid data to achieve the desired outcomes.
5.
User journey reveals every stage of user interactionI map out the complete user journey to understand and anticipate the needs and behaviors at each interaction stage. This holistic view helps me identify and address potential friction points, enhancing the overall user experience from initial contact to long-term usage.
6.
Balancing stakeholder and user needsI recognize the importance of balancing the needs of various stakeholders, including users, business teams, and technical staff. By integrating these diverse perspectives into my design strategy, I ensure the final product meets user expectations while aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.
