The Problems

Project Goals

The journey towards creative ideas is often riddled with various challenges.

1

Instant sharing inspires more ideas.

Consistent interface design across multiple platforms allows each device to share creativity instantly.

2

Interaction helps reach quick consensus.

2-way footnotes and data sync allow members of the meeting to participate in real-time interaction and express ideas vividly .

3

Integration facilitates action-taking.

The host maintains control over the meeting at all times and can easily send integrated information to all members.

Overview

1. Creative Development Phase:

Ideas are not effectively shared due to individuals forming ideas on separate devices with different connection settings. This results in time-consuming toggling between devices during idea presentation.

2. Discussion Phase:

Orally conveying creative perspectives can lead to misunderstandings as concept development process cannot be well recorded during this phase.

3. Convergence Phase:

Hosts must rely on memory to summarize content, which may lead to overlooking key points and hindering teams from acting on new designs generated through the context.

Research & Ideating

A deep dive into the market

Before commencing the design phase, we conducted extensive research using secondary materials and data to gain insights into competitors and market trends. This process helped us clarify the positioning and core functionalities of our product within the market landscape.

Based on the insights gathered from user interviews and thorough research, we meticulously crafted user journey maps to visualize the entire experience of users across different scenarios. These maps provided a detailed understanding of the challenges and pain points users faced while attempting to share content wirelessly.

Subsequently, we interviewed users across diverse industries and meeting environments, engaging with professionals from banking, technology companies, and teachers from various schools.

Throughout this process, we gained valuable insights into
users' expectations beyond basic screen sharing, including the desire for enhanced meeting interactions and heightened concerns regarding data security. These findings played a crucial role in informing our product planning and design decisions.

By focusing on these specific pain points, we were able to tailor our product design and features to effectively address users' needs and enhance their overall experience. This approach allowed us to prioritize key functionalities and make informed design decisions that aligned with the expectations and preferences of our target users.

What I
gained.

Takeaways

When I initially embarked on designing this series of products, I underestimated the complexity of meeting scenarios in conference environments. While I assumed our daily exposure to meetings would provide sufficient insight into user needs, I soon realized the vast diversity and intricacies involved. Meetings ranged from small huddles of two or three individuals to larger gatherings of a dozen or twenty people, and the prevalence of online meetings added another layer of complexity.

In addition, We've discovered that meetings serve diverse purposes, ranging from
collaborative concept development to final result presentations. The diversity of devices and platforms used in these meetings, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and video conferencing systems, adds further complexity.

To address these complexities, we conducted extensive user interviews across diverse backgrounds and countries, along with field studies, to gain a deeper understanding of various meeting scenarios and pain points. Continuous feedback collection from end users has been integral to optimizing our products through collaborative design and development efforts.

Our product suite has continued to undergo iterative enhancements, with its usage extending to
applications in the education sector. This expansion not only enhances our products' impact on daily life but also requires us to consider a broader range of scenarios and user types to maximize our product’s value.
